Ad Astra Arkestra- ICT and Replay July 2011
A couple of reviews from the Replay Show on July 22nd. This is from the Pitch. This is from the Larryville Chronicles. The pic above is borrowed from the Pitch website. My favorite quote "off-tempo strikes of a transparent upright bass drum that were as shockingly loud as shotgun blasts" from the Larryville joint. We rocked out for ICT fest 2011 in Wichita the weekend before, it was mad hot, but I was ventilated well (see reverse mohawk below, thus the bald head above).

Ad Astra Arkestra at the Middle of the Map Fest- April 9th 2011
We played for the Middle of the Map Fest in KC a couple of weeks ago. Nathan looked like he was going to go ape shit on someone. It was fun.

Arkestra Show at the Jackpot
The Arkestra played a fun show at the Jackpot in Lawrence KS on 9-24-10. All the bands were on point (Strong Smells and Mouthbreathers threw it down and it was the first time I saw them) and Thee Oh Sees were tight and grungy. Turnpike had their cameras up there, so hopefully I can update this post with some videos. One of the camera guys set up near my bass drum and said he got some good shots of me rocking that bitch like Dokken. I really like the poster too! I got pics below of the drunken circus that is the Arkestra.

Crossroads Music Festival 2010 in Kansas City
The Ad Astra Arkestra played at The Brick on Saturday night for the Crossroads Music Festival, and it was completely insane and mad fun. Micheal Forrester took a bad ass photo of the band through my bass drum. He also took many great shots from the evening and this is a link to his flicker gallery for this event. The photo below was on The Pitch website (here is there write up on the event) and is of my boy Anthony beating the shit out of a woodblock. Below that is Mr. Fasthands himself Nathan. Popwreckoning.com also gave the Arkestra some love for out throwndown.

Ad Astra Arkestra Percussion Rig
I am the second auxiliary percussionist with the band the Ad Astra Arkestra. I get to go off on some hand drums, a glock, and a big 24" marching bassdrum. It is fun.
